THE BUBBLE DECADE Introduction: World Wide Web
The World-Wide-Web was developed by British engineer Time Berners- Lee in 1989; the World-Wide-Web became available to the public on August 6, 1991. The world- wide- web is a system of resources that allows people to view and interact with a variety of information. It’s a computer that is connected to the Internet that can access the world-wide-web and you can search just about anything. Many people believed that the internet and the world-wide-web were the same; but they are not.
The Internet
The internet is a massive network of networks that connects personal computers, cell phones, GPS units and MP3 players. The internet started in the 1960’s and its massive hardware combination of millions of personal, business and government computers that are connected like roads and highways.
The World-Wide-Web
The World-Wide-Web is a system of Internet servers that support specially formatted documents. They are formatted in a markup language called Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) which supports and links documents, graphs, video and audio files. The Web browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome to name a few;
