So that no one would stand out and challenge the government. The only reason why there are revolutions is because someone feels like they are being treated poorly by their government and that someone else’s government treated its people better. If everyone is treated the same the people would not know any better. If there is no creativity then there is nothing for people to get envious over. If no one is smart then there would be no scientist or doctors. So if there was ever any outbreak of a disease then there would be no one to create a cure for it. Believing that people are equal under the law is different than believing people are equal every which way. Equal under the law is that everyone should be treated the same even though they are different because if people were all the same then they most likely will not be treated differently. Where as the belief that everyone should be equal every which way is different in that it is saying that people need to be the same whereas (under the law) is saying that everyone should be treated the same
