WYP Ngo did not join in with the team discussion until later on, due to keeping the kids occupied while the adults were having a conversation. WYP Ngo gathered some information from the kids. The youth got an X-Box hard drive (the youth is playing games), the girls got Ipads, and they was able to spend time with extended relatives during winter break. The family got a donation of 3 computers. WYP Ngo will assist with setting the computers up. The youth had a half day at school, because he had dyed his hair (against school rules for boys to have dyed hair). The kids are doing better with their chores. As Violet is experiencing poverty, there is a list of barriers that prevent Violet from escaping poverty. Violet does not have a job, therefore she does not receive any income. Her education skills are poor, equivalent to a grade 4 child’s level. As Violet may not have a home, her health status is poor. However, these barriers may have a solution. Since Violet’s education level is low, she could consider being part of YOS. YOS is a part of the Salvation Army Youth Outreach Service, they operate education and accommodation for young people. Yet, Violet may not have the access or knowledge of knowing how to be a part of a group organisation. Staying with YOS may be a short-term solution. The service minutes are high, because WYP Ngo and the youth went into the community to get some ice cream. WYP Ngo also engaged in some positive activities with the youth (dodgeball, tag, and handball). WYP Ngo discussed with the youth about being relocated to another placement. Trevor Barr is a beholden man, always grateful for his family and what they have done for him.
