Vance’s class, I would say MLA was the one of the biggest issues I struggled with when writing a paper. Such an easy fix, but I did not have a teacher who enforced it, so I never learned until moving to The Meadows. However, another thing I learned was difficult was to adapt to each teacher’s idea of a “good paper.” Some teachers thought I did well on certain aspects of writing, where others thought I struggled. An example of this might be that Mr. Long would think my thesis was well written, but Mr. Vance thought it was to vague and lacking description. This could also be because of the grade I was in. In 9th grade, my papers were not set to such a high standard as in 10th grade. What I thought was good in 9th does not work for 10th. This is probably true as well for 11th and 12 grade, even
