My mom changes her tone in many different social areas, such as being with our family, going out with other people, going to work and being with me. The author’s were simply talking about how people can change in different areas, and that anyone can have their tones shifted. A personal experience I’ve had would be an interview for my current job. Usually, when I’m with people I’m comfortable with, I act like my normal self. I’m loud, funny, talkative, outgoing and caring. I dress with tops and shorts, skinny jeans and slippers, or when I feel like it shoes. For my job interview, I dressed casual. All covered from head to toe, closed shoes, hair-tied up and acting like my professional self as if I was at school answering questions that my teachers ask me. I answer nicely and calmly, but still act like my normal self. When my interviewee wanted a regular conversation with me, just to get to know me and get comfortable with me, our conversation turned from an interview to a great laughable conversation.
