1. Usually the runner will be at the same level with both leg action and arm action while running, but sometimes the runner will be behind in one or the other. Running skill level is conditional based one whole often the person runs, and how intensely.
2. Runner 13 exhibits a skill level that seems to be higher than the skill level of runner 5 in both the leg level, and the arm level. This may be because runner 5 may have lost a lot of muscle, because she is older than all of the other participants.
3. N/A
4. An environmental constraint that could have occurred is the temperature. The temperature in the room could have been either too cold for the runners or too hot. This could have distracted them. A task constraint could be that an individual runner could be sick, or may not ever have been taught how to correctly run, especially the younger participants.
5. A major advantage of using video clips over direct observation would be that I don’t have to take the time to set up a meeting with runners, and I don’t have to make sure that the runners are behaving, or doing what they are supposed to. A disadvantage to watching video clips is that I can’t verbally talk to the runners and tell them what I want to see, also, I can’t see multiple tries
Lab 7.2
1. For the most part, the jumper’s hand and feet were on the same level, because they need to be coordinated in order to start and complete the jump correctly.
2. Jumper 3 was much more skilled at jumping than jumper 13, and jumper 3 appears to be much younger than jumper 13. Jumper 13 doesn’t seem to know how to jump with both legs simultaneously; this causes more of a skipping effect than a jumping effect.
3. N/A
4. Environmental constraints can include the surroundings that the jumpers were in. Task constraints could include a jumper not understanding instructions, or not ever being taught the proper way to jump.
5. For the 13th jumper, he could have been better at jumping if he had been
