Yesterday Samyann Analysis

In the book Yesterday, by Samyann, Amanda Parker learns that her life is not what it has always seemed to be. Saving a policeman, Mark, from being seriously hurt when an elevated train suddenly falls off the tracks in Chicago, they are instantly drawn to each other, first by the accident, then by their own feelings for each other. Amanda, being an antique dealer, is also drawn to a grandfather clock for sale in the shop she is brought to after the accident. What happens next is the stuff that fairy tales and stories of magic are made of.

This story centers around a lot of what other people would call supernatural. Black magic. Most of the general population would call it witchcraft, voodoo, or the product of a troubled person's vivid imagination. Amanda, however, believes that she is cursed, with those she is close to, or even falls in love with, soon dying after getting too close. Her aunt is a psychiatrist and practices something called "Past Life Therapy (PLT)". She believes that, after hearing Amanda and Mark have had an eerily similar dream involving each other and the clock, have been involved with this clock in a past life; they may have even known each other as well. The only way to know for sure is to delve into their deepest memories to see if, indeed, they have a past life and if this clock, and each other, are entangled within it.
