Did you know that 31.8 percent of the children in America are overweight, and 16.9 percent of that 31.8 percent is considered to be obese? Though America is not the only country with an obesity rate over 20 percent, America definitely takes the lead. Some seem to believe that Americans are overweight because we are spoiled as a whole. While others may believe that, you are what you eat. Meaning if you over eat you will be overweight. Some even believe that you can eat what you want if you have a fast metabolism. But, it is a fact that you can be as skinny as you want to be, and still be unhealthy.
Most people including the medical community equate lower weight with better health, but researchers say that, there is a thing as healthy obesity. Meaning, you can be as big as a house but be the healthiest person on the planet. Some people’s weight may be hereditary, others may be dealing with depression, bad eating habits or simply just the love of the food. What I mean when I say bad eating habits is that, most people should have a schedule of when that eat. You wake up, eat breakfast, go to school, around noon you eat lunch. Maybe a couple of hours later you eat a snack and then around sunset and night time you eat dinner. But, bad eating habits may consist of, skipping out on breakfast which makes you even hungrier than you should be around lunch time causing you to eat more. Still eating a snack afterwards and then eating dinner on top of that. There are no breaks in between the eating, your body is not digesting your food properly and you don’t even know it.
I believe that if more people took caution into what they were eating and when they were eating it,
