How to survive a zombie outbreak The zombies are here and are at your door. What do you do? Where do you go? How will you survive? If you don’t know the answers to any of these questions then this guide is perfect for you.
“What is a zombie? How are they created? What are their strengths and weaknesses? What are their needs, their desires? Why are they hostile to humanity? Before discussing any survival techniques, you must first learn what you are trying to survive. We must begin by separating fact from fiction. The walking dead are neither a work of "black magic" nor any other supernatural force” (Brooks 1). A zombie is a reanimated corpse that feeds on living tissue. “It is unnecessary that they require it in order to stay alive but rather a formality of the decay of the frontal lobe leaving only the basic need to eat” (Mogk 1). They are relatively slow moving creatures that have no regard to their own survival. They do not feel pain or remorse, they will feed on the living mercilessly. Loved ones will not remember you nor will they show mercy against you. “They are mindless savage beasts that will kill anything insight”(Mogk 2). Only a head shot can finish them off, body shot barely slow them down, so aim carefully.

Your pack must be light enough to travel with but still filled with the supplies you need. Perhaps a duffle bag or a travel bag would be the best to keep on the move. Keep in mind however that weight will play a key factor in what to pack. For example although canned food won’t go bad they are way too heavy and clancky to be able to move around without being heard. MRE’s are a great choice because
