Write about a family member with whom you have shared happy and sad memories.

My older brother Daniel is now 21 years old. He is currently studying abroad. He is taking medicine and wants to be a pediatrician someday. As he always says, ‘Children need me at their sides while adults are wandering all over the world!’. Danni has been away from home for nearly two years now and despite the annual visits home and frequent phone calls, my family and I cannot help but miss him. Danni is always the live-wire of the party. The light-hearted boy can always put a smile on anyone’s face. Though he isn’t the toughest of the lot and the most handsome, nobody can help liking him. This is because besides being the cheekiest boy on the block, he is also a very kind and caring person. He is respectful of his elders and loves children. And when he plays around them you would think he was just like child of five. Danni is strong-built has a deep voice, which makes him look demeaning and empowering at the first impression. When he cracks a joke it is so obvious how different he is. Danni is the perfect example of, ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’.

My brother is not dashing but rather handsome. Standing about six feet tall with almond-shaped eyes and tanned skinned, he is a typical Asian with a lingering charm and a talent for words. He has a button nose as this runs in our family. Danni boy, as he is known around the block has got the cheekiest grin in the world. If ever he did needs something or his plan gone wrong, he would just have to cast his most innocent smile and get away scot-free! This is his advantage. He is a klutz and has hands the size of boulders. Danni has short black hair which stands up with a tuft right above his fore-head. And no matter how hard he tries to flatten it, it just won’t stay! Over our childhood years, my brother and I have gone through thick and thin together and have compiled fond memories together. Our

The Shack, written by William P. Young, tackles one man’s quest for faith and reassurance in God through several metaphors, parables and symbols. These symbols are used to compare the story religion itself; and from this comparison it is easier to grasp a deeper understanding. However, with this underlying symbolism, it’s possible to over analyze and disregard the fictitious nature of the book. Despite this, there are many symbols within The Shack that are essential to the story and the deeper significance within it.…

Little brothers were engineered to annoy their sibling; luckily for me my little brother kept that to a minimum. For me my little brother was my best friend. Jerry was always athletic; any sport he played, did he excelled in. His intelligence was enlightening. My favorite characteristics however, was his heart; his heart was full of love. Jerry always saw the beauty in people, and nature. Sadly, he never saw the beauty in himself. Jerrys teenage years were not easy. I always knew how important jerry was for me, however, I never realized how much he would change my life. By one thing he attempted when he was a teenager, I was never the same person-- he was never the same person.…

In contrast to the other stories in the textbook, “Albert and Esene,” by Frances Khirallah Noble was very interesting because it shows us at first how important to have a good relationship between a husband and a wife. Then it was a happy ending story. In the story, Albert was a good husband to his wife Esene by being there for her anytime she needs him even though she didn’t has a child. All he did is to make the marriage more interesting than ever by treating her as a lovely wife, a partner for life and as human being who has feelings and who needs affection. Marring a woman and think that she is only made to take care of the whole family, or even think that she is made to be good in the bedroom is it really the only important thing in marriage?…

This person can be very inspirational and even more so if it is someone close to you or a relative. In my case, it is my brother who has prominently impacted my life. He has been there to support me in my many decisions, whether smart or foolish. Because of my older brother I am the ambitious, responsible, and respectful person that I am today.…

thorny question for many policymakers is, “What is a family?” Definitions abound, but consensus does not. How we define the family is often hotly-debated because the definition has significant consequences in people’s lives. Government agencies often have to define what a family is in order to determine who benefits from their program and who does not. Towns or cities often have to define families in developing zoning and housing regulations. Family definitions can have a bearing on access to such resources as health and life insurance, educational, recreational, and mental health services. Furthermore, definitions sometimes convey societal beliefs about what is “normal” and “acceptable” and thus, by implication, what is “deviant” or socially sanctioned. In this section of the briefing report, we will begin by summarizing the diversity of American families. Then we will review three definitions proposed in the scholarly literature and the consequences of each. Finally, we will take a historical look at how the family is defined in Wisconsin law.…

I never imagined a seven-year would have such a huge impact in my life, without him I would be a lost person living in this dark pit with no one. He may not understand the situation, but his innocence of not knowing allows me to become a part of the innocence that was never a part of my life. I have become a more compassionate person because I realized that I need to show him the support he gave me and help him in any situation. The process is still ongoing with the ups and the downs, but the space where the happiness was once empty is starting to fill. I can always count on my brother to put a smile on my face even if it is for the simplest things. My brother’s impact has made me want to become a therapist to help other children who may find themselves in a similar situation and give them the compassion and attention that I didn’t have for the longest…

I love my family and I don’t want to be a part of another family because every family is special. I don’t want to change it to another because as I already said every family is special and everybody should love their own family no matter what because it’s the most important thing they have and they should respect it. A family is a group of people who will always love and understand each other no matter what.…

ver heard the saying, “blood is thicker than water”? If yes, you know it means no bond is tighter than your family. In our families we love, serve, teach, and learn from each other. We share our joys and our sorrows. Family ties may bring us difficult challenges, but they also give us strength and some of our greatest happiness. Through my own personal perspective, if you don’t have family, you don’t have anything. Thinking to yourself, you have it all, each time you see them cross your path. Blood makes you related, loyalty makes you family.…
