The course name:CESL 1003 Title of essay:A good manager and a bad manager Name:Huen Iu (Jessica) Student ID:100893321 Professor’s name:Andrew Buck Date submitted:Dec 6 2013 I have ever worked in restaurant before.As working in restaurant,we would face different customers everyday.Some managers know how to be a good manager whereas some don’t.One day,A customer complained about the chicken leg was overburn and requested to make a new one.The manager had insisted that the customer had eaten half of it and rejected to change the other one.The manager’s attitude was bad,so the customer was very angry and complained the manager.Then,the senior manager came out to solve the problem,who has a great customer service skills.He not only calmed down the customer,but also had money back to customer.His problem-solving method was totally different from the manager.According to my experience,a good manager or a bad manager can be divided into three types of traits.
A good manager has a good communication skills ,good personality and knowledgeable whereas a bad manager vice versa. A good manager has a good communication skills whereas a bad manager is lack of the communication skills.First,being a good manager,who need to be able to communicate effectively,communication can divide into two parts:verbal and written communication.
A good manager should not only have a excellent speaking skills who know how to speak publicly,but also should be a active listener.Listening to the supervisor,subordinates, customers.A good manager should willing to accept the opinion from others and
