#2: This annotation at first glance appears to me to be faulty in a sense. I agree with the fact that it flows from choppy “Ands” to smooth “Commas”. But is that all taking place in this sentence? The author could have applied the fact that all of her clothes were second hand yet this one she kept like it were brand new each time she wears it. Another foreshadow this casts is her situation. The sentence told me she was going to be poor. Why wasn’t this added to the annotation?
#20: This annotation reveals to me that unofficial means she didn’t want to believe her husband was truly gone at that point. I do agree with this annotation she’s so close to her late husband that it completely changed her attitude in the following sentences. She was darker in the face and she had a presence that indicated sadness.
#32: This annotation made me go back through the passage and see the prepositions. This was significant to me because I could go into deeper meaning of the object and as to why it’s important to her. I agree this annotation helped me move about the room and get a picture of what it was like.
#37: This annotation saying the broken dish was only her being sentimental want alone just that. This sentence told me prior to reading the annotation that she was a hoarder but a good kind. She treasured trash unlike the wealthier world with anything at their disposal. She lived in a homeless shelter and the broken dish is part of her minuet belongings.
#41: This is yet another annotation I slightly want to add things too. This marble sized gallstone killed “BIG JOHN.” I think it’s a symbol of a deeper meaning. A meaning of how something so minuscule can take something so big as life and how it can happen to anyone.
#43: This annotation tugs at me. I do not believe he was selfish I just think that’s all he knows because
