Home is the first school of the child and mother is the first and the best teacher of the child. The level of the development of the personality of the child greatly depends on the child rearing practices, sympathy and cooperation of the mother. The investigator in the present study has found that the level of home adjustment and emotional adjustment of the female children of non-working mothers were significantly higher than that of their counterparts of working mothers whereas the level of adjustment of the male children of both working and non-working mothers and female children of working mothers have been found as a significant factor for determining their level of academic achievement.
Introduction: In life, we generally come across various forms of relationships like father-son, husband-wife, love, friendship and other, but the most dearest and hearty of all is of a mother and her child relationship. Mother is one who gives birth to the child, brings him up, supports him when he need someone the most, guides him in taking right decisions, stand against the crowd and favours his child if he is right, always stands behind him in his thick and thin, biggest sharer, suffers a lot of pain from the time of birth of a child till he becomes an adult but never expect anything in return.
