What are “make my day ” and "make my day better" laws? Why have they entered the national spotlight? They are bills used to justify someone to use deadly force in their home or business if a break in or some kind of deadly situation occurs. It is not really an official law but still trying to be passed as one. There are pros and cons about it and personally I think it goes half and half. When someone breaks into your home there is no kind of hesitation to protect either your family or yourself because everything is happening in the moment with no time to think about rational decisions. Especially if the intruder has a visible weapon. The bill will come in to play giving just cause for engaging in an altercation like a shooting. Which can be good for the home owner, some one should not be punished for engaging in self defense. On the other hand, there are some individuals that may take advantage of this law. Not everyone in the world is in their right mind and sometimes it takes a negative action to see that something was going on in their mind.
