With the advanced technology, cell phones have become universal around the world, almost everyone keep a cell phone, even one person will have more than one cell phone. For the purpose of this essay, young people can be defined as one part of people whose age are between 6 years old and 18 years old, in other words, they are studying in primary school or high school. Moreover, nowadays some people argue that cell phones have positive effects on young people. To be more specific, it is easy and convenient to communicate with others as well as it can enrich the daily life because of its a variety of functions. On the other hand, it can be argued that cell phones can bring negative influences to young people. One drawback is that over reliance on cell phones will decrease students’ face–to–face communication skills. Also, radiation of cell phones is unhealthy for young people.
First of all, many believe that cell phones can make young people communicate easily with their parents and friends easier. Sometimes, cell phones can be used to call a phone or send a message, which will instead of meeting each other. For example, a girl who studies in primary school will have a temporary meeting with her classmates after classes. Then, she can send a message to tell her parents that she will go home late and do not need to worry. We cannot deny that it is definitely convenient when there are in emergency. In addition, it is easier for young people to express their emotion. For instance, some children will be shy to say’ I love you’ to their mother during the Mother’s Day. As a result, utilizing cell phones will be a good choice to express love and thanks. Consequently, it could be said the cell phones make young people easier to contact with each other.
