Inattentional blindness, also known as perceptual blindness is a lack of attention. It is not a visual disorder, but rather the inability to see what another may clearly see, or unable to see due to other distractions.

Why is Inattentional Blindness a benefit? Everyone inattentionally blind in most everything every single minute of the day.
Inattentional blindness is actually a good thing. The ability to block out unnecessary stimuli in order to focus is beneficial in many way.
