Tears pooled in her eyes, like a gentle ocean resembling her bleeding heart. Her heart froze and her stomach turned icy as she found herself to be a victim of this tragedy. Ade’s lungs burnt and her breath was caught in her throat as if she was the one dying; she could not say anything but witness mama’s last moments.
She clutched onto mama with her tremored hands, as if clinging on to her soul and not allowing her to leave. Focused, Ade scrutinised mama’s virtuous face, without blinking, as she could not miss it.
