Expository Essay Example Apple vs Microsoft
Everybody thinks Apple is younger than Microsoft, but Apple was born in 1976, just one year after Microsoft corporation. They develop two different ways to produce the same product, Microsoft has developed a computer platform more popular than the Apple platform. Indeed, Microsoft Softwares came in the market as a reference, due to the easiest compatibility network. In the other hand, Apple increased on the ten last years. The main problem of this war implies the consumer. How do you make your decision between two products , when they are globally similar ?
Microsoft has developed an Operating System which is easy to use for anyone, and the majority of the computer have installed the O.S Windows . Moreover, a personal computer stays less expensive than an Apple computer. Behind the graphics and the user interface, technically the core of the system grant a lot of flaws, that imperil the security of the O.S.
Apple bets on the design and efficiency to equal the windows industry. The O.S on the Apple computers is named «MAC O.S». The core of the system is very stable and very safe. Indeed, virus aren’t made for the Macintosh O.S. So a lot of consumers chose Apple for the security. The price for the Apple computers are the most expensive, and most of softwares can’t be used on MAC O.S computers.
Apple and Microsoft were born together, but one pretend to a quality and luxurious product, and the other is made to satisfy another public who cares about price, but doesn’t stand with design. They have a common market, but for different client companies which don’t need the same product, so apple software is designed for the student whereas Microsoft software supply to the professional demand. What’s more, recently Apple goes through Microsoft in the highest trade price to the second place of the most powerful company.

To my mind, Apple is better than Microsoft because it turned to a younger public, which is the beginning of the next generation. But for the 40 last

Below is a letter which King Ferdinand sent along with Columbus on his second voyage to Haiti. It was to be communicated to the Taino/Arawak Indians. It is a fascinating document. Everyone knows of the popular household names Apple and Microsoft. Apple was started by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. They created the first Apple computer in Jobs’ parents garage in the 1970’s. They knew that they had created something great so they called their company Apple. Bill Gates on the other hand created Microsoft. He never made a computer; what he did was create software and put it on other computers. Allegedly, Bill Gates stole Apple’s Macintosh prototype software from Steve Jobs. Gates only received the prototypes because Jobs thought he could trust Gates, but he was sorely mistaken. These two popular household names are similar, but they have differences such as ability to customize, operating system, price, and virus protection.…

In the software sector, the competitor base is rather different where one company, Microsoft, has substantial market share on PC based machines. However Apple offers its own operating system on its own Apple computers, the software is not compatible with PCs. It can be said the market share in the software industry is directly proportional to how many hardware units it sells, and also how well it can get consumers to upgrade to their new OS X operating system. Apple with 6 percent in the desktop market and 10 portable has been fighting a losing battle for market share in the education market to companies like Dell. Apple is hoping to find new markets to enter with its iTunes, iPod, and iMac products.…

Immigration has been an ongoing issue that has affected many people in the United States today, many immigrants have doubled since the 1960s because of the economic stability in their country. Even though immigration from Mexico has decreased over time there is still a majority of other immigrants in the U.S. The immigration system is broken and needs to be addressed and called for attention because they supercharge the economic benefits in America. An immigration reform that comprehensively addresses these problems like providing a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants living and working in the U.S. A common-sense reform would restore faith and still bring hope to immigrants; this will change America…

Before Macs popularized, Microsoft Windows was the ubiquitous software on the market without foreseeable competition. To contend with their competitor, Apple made their system exceptional by concentrating on inventive design and well-programmed contents. In addition, they largely developed their system for education and business industries. Continuing their singular strategy, the company also produced the iPod, iPhone, and iPad products with their characteristic features and design-savvy. If Apple had trailed the steps of their greatest challenger, they would have failed to develop the very values that so successfully distinguish them. Apple’s prominent status illustrates that the key to success is often a pioneer approach that defies the status…

Throughout the years, society has changed in several ways, but there are still many similarities between the way people lived during the A.D. era and the 1950’s. This is shown by the connection between the societies of Beowulf and the Lord of the Flies. Because of how both leaders in the stories were abandoned to fend for themselves and how they both have someone who helps them through their journey, similarities occur in their vastly different societies.…

For Windows to function without outside interference it needs security, and initially Windows was not designed with Internet security. In 1990 Windows was building graphical user interface (GUI) designs for upgraded versions of MS-DOS and not worried with multi-user and Internet access. For this reason Windows has been targeted with viruses, Trojans, and many other malicious programs. It may be said that Apple’s operating system cannot get any of these malicious programs that would be incorrect. In the late 1990’s hackers were making malicious programs for Macintosh just as much as Windows. I used these hacks on Macintosh computers at my high school and exploiting their networks and bypassing passwords, and installing Trojans into their computers and networks.…
