Introduction
The banking industry is one of the fast growing industries in our country. There are 7 Islamic banks with 43 commercial banks in this industry. So the competition is very high between the banks. For this competitive environment recent times tremendous development is occurring day by day. In banking industry one of the powerful sectors is Islamic banking. The Islamic follow Islamic rules or shariah law for business transaction there are no interest issue in this banking sector. The developments of Islamic banking occur because our country is one of the largest Muslim populated countries. People wanted to lead their life according to Islamic values that is mentioned in Quran and shariah. The Islamic banking starts in our country in early 1980’s the first Islamic banking is islami bank in Bangladesh. The success of the Islamic banking show that that bank could be run by Islamic rules and regulation. In present time there are 7 Islamic bank and their work force and customers are increasing day by day.
Objectives
The specific objectives of this report are given below:
To develop the practical knowledge by observation and analysis.
To relate the practical knowledge with theoretical knowledge.
To know about Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) operational activities this is based on Islami Shariah.
To discuss about the Performance Evaluation of SJIBL
