Isabella D'Este Monologue
Isabella D’Este Monologue
Good day m’lords and ladies. My name is Isabella D’Este, Marchesa of Mantua, and I am currently governing alone. Why is a woman governing alone you may be wondering? I’ll tell you. My dear husband, Francesco, was captured by those villainous Venetians while he was away at war. You see, he is, or was, the captain of the Armies of the League, before his untimely capture. He and I have been separated for almost thirteen long months now, and I am beginning to wonder if he will ever return home. You must all know how horribly wretched this is for me, knowing that my husband is locked up in some jail and not having any idea as to whether he is well or if I will ever see him again! I have attempted everything in my power to bring him home to me. I have tried persuading the pope into allowing him to return, and I have even offered him some of my vast wealth in exchange for my poor Francesco’s release, but nothing seems to have swayed him. To ease my mind from this horrific nightmare I am being forced to endure day after day, I have also consulted priests, lawyers, and even one astrologer who claimed he could predict whether or not he would be released! But alas, I have come to accept that my mind will not be at peace until the day I see my husband walk through this castle once again. I would do anything to get him back, sell my hair, give up titles- I would even arrange a political marriage with one of my children if it would ensure his release! I must go, for I have just received news about my dear Francesco! Pray pardon my abrupt leave. Fare thee well.

Although most will probably say someone close to them is inspiring, like their mother, grandmother, sister. In my opinion, they are your family, and you will always love and be inspired by them. Therefore I decided to write this on how a singer is inspiring to me. Her name is Miranda Lambert. Almost none of my friends have even heard of her. I guess because maybe she’s a country singer and they don’t really like country music? Who knows, but she is quite an amazing person. She grew up in a small town in Texas. “Not having money toughened me up a bit, but I'll always be grateful. Texas people are really strong in their roots. I started writing and playing guitar at 17. I've always loved music, and my dad is a singer-songwriter.” Miranda once…

You know, I read in a book once that women desire attention. Even the Devil knew that and so he chose to go to naked Eve to tempt her, since he had just one chance. He knew if He had gone to naked Adam, we would still be in the garden and Adam would still be the only one who has tasted the forbidden fruit. Perhaps, Naked Eve would notice herself with the amazing figures God had given to her and it was impossible for Adam to notice when his eyes where not yet opened. She opened his eyes... so he could notice her. Thanks to Peter Cheyney for pointing that out in his book, Poison Ivy.…

    Monologue of Tybalt

I am Tybalt, a Capulet and cousin of Juliet. I am known as short-tempered, impulsive, and a vengeful person, I draw my sword anytime I can. However I am loyal beyond words and honour the family rivalry between the Capulets and the Montagues with great heart. I will never betray the Capulets. On the day of Capulets’ party Romeo showed up. I recognised Romeo through his disguise at the Capulets’ ball. I can’t remember that we invited him to our party. Why is Romeo here? What is his intention of showing up at my Uncle Capulet’s ball? He is a Montague and I loathe all the Montague because they are our enemy. He is not allowed to come to our party. I would have killed him or make him leave the ball immediately if not forbidden by my uncle. He stopped me because he didn’t want to make a scene at the party. I could have choose to disobey my uncle but if I do that he will be mad at me so I have no choice but listened to my uncle. However I won’t let him live so easily I will make his life miserable. I will take revenge on him next time I meet him. Therefore I have a plan, I will fight Romeo at the city centre but I will be banished if I start a fight with him. In that case I will provoke Romeo at the city centre of Verona so he will start a fight with me. When the prince found out that Romeo starts a fight with me he will banish Romeo from Verona forever instead of me. I sent a challenge letter to Romeo for a duel to the death and vowed to meet him later on. I didn’t know if Romeo will show up but I went off to look for him after the masked ball. Instead of finding Romeo I found his friends, Benvolio and Mercutio. After Romeo arrived, I confronted him to fight with me, but he refused. But his friend Mercutio winded me up after that so I started a fight with him. Romeo tries to stop us, but I stab Mercutio. I ran away after I stabbed Mercutio but I still have my sight set on killing…
