Chapter 1

1.0 Introduction A Point of Sale System is commonly used in stores today, because of its benefits. A POS was commonly employed in businesses that were engage in merchandise, its introduction to the industry helps sales services to be improved and give benefit both for the business and to the customers. But nowadays this technology is also implemented in other establishments like restaurants and other business engagements which are involved in sales services both online and peer to peer marketing. But not all business establishments employ a POS in their sales processing, which sometimes may give deficiencies to the sales transaction of a certain business. And with a POS system comes with an inventory system partnered with it. It gives the establishment not only sales transaction but also inventory monitoring. The reason why we pushed to propose a system for Inforworx inc., was to help their establishment acquire a computerized system running for their business. In which it may lessen the workload of its employees, gives convenient both to the establishment, employees and to its customers, lessen the deficiencies that may encounter and gives security and storage of the company’s important datas. In the future, we the proponents have set goals for our research at Inforworx Inc., we set to give the company the proposed system we introduced, a system that can transact sales with no delay and a system that has can store the company’s data and protects them with any unauthorized access.
