The picture is called “ A Shepherdess Adorned with Flowers” and it was painted in 1627 by a man named Gerrit Van Honthorst. The story behind this painting is that during this time era women would put flowers in girls hair as an act to show that they are ready for courtship or marriage. As you can see with the boy shepherd in the right corner admiring the young lady with flowers. I find this painting rather beautiful and graceful
