A. Describe the event in one sentence. (For example, “I took my mom’s car without asking one night and wrecked it.”) I swinged my brother to hard when he was in the hammock and he busted his forehead.
B. In another sentence, explain why readers should care and want to read this story. (For example: “A lot of teenagers have taken their parents’ cars, and their kids might do it, too.) The Characters
My brother, my cousin, and older sister.
A. Describe yourself at the time of the event. What were you like? What was going on in your life at the time? How were you different than you are today? I was 10 years old, a little girl who was enjoying her summer vacations and did not have the maturity to think about things like I do now. I was unable to recognize when someone was in danger and when something stopped being funny or a game.
B. Who else was involved in the event? Describe each person, focusing on their physical appearance as well as their behavior and demeanor. My cousin and sister were present at the time of the event. My cousin has red-orange and she did not really want to help me swing my brother because unlike me she thought about the consequences of swinging my brother to hard. My older sister had curly black hair at the time and was the one that encouraged me to swing my brother harder, Instead of recognizing the danger to do so, she thought it was funny. My brother was 8 years old, with short black hair who was happy to be in the hammock.
C. What was said before, during and/or after the event? Reconstruct any significant dialogue
