I was challenged in that I found myself judging the author, and then realizing that I consistently make the same mistakes (just not with hearts at stake). This is a first-time author, and I can overlook some editing issues for a story like this that needs to be told. That said, as the book grows, I hope that the author can and will edit it so that the story can continue to prosper and touch lives.
I say very passionately, read it and weep! It is a story that will touch your soul, and in these polarizing times, we can all use a reminder to live to the fullest and love one another. I recommend this story to anyone who has health issues, anyone who has struggled with substance abuse, and anyone who loves a truly heartwarming story. I recommend it to all but the youngest or most sensitive audience due to the strong subject matter and a few instances of hard language.
