Rebels is carried throughout. The Rebel’s plan was to destroy the Death Star, which was the Empire's most robust weapon. The Empire fought back unsuccessfully. In 12 Angry Men, all the arguing men defended their belief that the boy put on trial was guilty or not guilty. In Star Wars, the Empire defended their beliefs that they were better than the Rebels. In the movie about an ongoing court drama, there is tension throughout because everyone is arguing there opinion. In Star Wars, there is tension between the Rebels and the Empire. The two movies also have many differences.
The amount of violence in Star Wars was vast. Lazer guns, light sabers, and other weapons were used during fights and battles. In 12 Angry Men. no physical violence existed. Only intense arguing occurred. The camera angles in the action packed court case were far different from the ones of Star Wars. The angles were very close up compared to the distant camera views in the science fiction movie. Finally, 12 Angry Men was filmed in black and white. Star Wars was filmed in color. The coloration in Star Wars made the movie appear more modern than 12 Angry Men. 12 Angry Men, the movie about an intense court case and the sci fi movie, Star Wars A New Hope, both contain disagreements, people defending their beliefs, and tension; however, along with similarities, both movies did not show violence, the same camera angles, and
coloration.
