Was the Crucial Decade made a better or worst of today’s life? The Crucial Decade is based in a period of time in America from 1945-1960s which impacted America and at many other places. America was at War throughout that period of time and it was a hard time for them. They were starting to create life easier for the veterans that returned home. Out of all the changes they made many were good changes like the ending of wars, the opportunities given for jobs and a life, no violence and low prices. However many are not appreciated like no internet, no social life, and it wasn’t equal for each other. The Second World War, was a global war that lasted from 1939 to 1945. It involved the vast majority of the world's nations including all of the great powers eventually forming two opposing military alliances: the Allies and the Axis. However we won the war and the veterans came home to begin a new life. Throughout the war soldiers were planning to go back and start a new life. Therefore Veterans that returned from the war would start a new, family, build a new house, find a new job, and live happy for the rest of their lives. The veterans were right about living happy until the crucial decade took over. Opportunities was a big success for the 1950s. Jobs were all around and had free jobs for everybody. “ America in the 1950s was still considered to be a land of opportunity and the economy was growing like crazy. While jobs were growing the cost of money started to increase and minimum wage started to get lower for jobs. During that time period, just about anyone that wanted to get a job could find a job and the U.S. middle class expanded rapidly. Now day the opportunities of opening jobs are less and the minimum wage is less than anybody that could afford an apartment. Violence has always been an effect in America. However the good part of the crucial decade was that there was way less violence
