2.02b - Declaration of Independence

2.02B We the students of Florida Virtual School, see the necessity to come together to change the way FLVS courses are done. those of us who are within the group shall come together to fight against the unfairness of our instructors. We bring our thoughts forward with all due respect. With high hopes that in doing so, we can come to an agreement much sooner. and so we as students, can look onto our future in our courses, and see that it be bright. it must become known that as FLVS we are entitled to certain rights. some of those rights include; mental well-being, time, sanity, and satisfaction. we are prisoners to our own computers, desktops and laptops. forces to do hours of work every week. it is as if our mental state and sanity is ignored, the stress of not being able to complete the necessary assignments within the time being, can damage a student that has much else going on as well. our time is not considered at all. the assignments take out a lot of time from a busy students life. An hour per assignment, and for a student who takes multiple classes, and has to push them all to one day, could have up to 6 hours of their day taken from them. with not a small amount of recognition from instructors. satisfaction can be difficult in a class without a teacher to help you in-person on individual assignments and questions. I. assignments they take so long! each one takes at least an hour to do. a busy student with a lot to handle doesnt have the time to keep up with several hours of work every week. and it seems the instructors have an easier job when it comes to grading. assignments should be shorter, it will still get the point across, but unnecessary lengthy homework is no help to the students of FLVS. there are also far too many of them. as a student myself, i find it difficult to stay focused through all of them. this must be changed.
II. lessons it seems that we have mentioned ‘time’ a lot in this declaration. the lessons take twice as long as the
