My friend’s experience My friend Ryan , who is a form 6 student and a joyful people. However, my friend was suffering from depression recently. Thus, I want to share my friend’s depression , how he overcame it and give some recommendations to others on how to help fight depression. To begin with, owing to Hong Kong Public Examination, our form 6 students needed to use a lot of time to prepare it. My friend was too worried about his academic results. He always told me he didn’t has enough time to study all subjects. In those days, my friend would study all the time when he was free. For instance, he would study at 7:00a.m. to 12:00a.m. in study leave but he would not relax a little time. He was too nervous. After a few days, he called me and said that he could not sleep at night. Also , he would very tired in the next day. His mother also told me that she has persuaded him to relax and suggested him to go to do exercise with friends to relax his mind. Despite the fact that his mother has persuaded him, he was still not listening. Consequently, he was suffering from depression. My friend how to overcome it? My friend’s mother told our class teacher what situation my friend was. Our class teacher suggested him to find a professional Psychiatrist and introduce a social worker to him. The social worker chatted with him and understood that facing a public examination was very difficult. Besides, he concerned and encouraged him to be persist and to not be nervous. Next day, my friend and his mother found the Psychiatrist. The Psychiatrist said that his was suffering from depression. My friends told him that he was facing a public examination and he worried that he didn’t has enough time to study. He was very afraid that he would got a worst academic results. Then , the Psychiatrist suggested that he needed to has some entertainment event and he could not study all the time. For example , he could play basketball with friends or play smart phone games.
