Introduction
AC Gilbert Company is facing a crises situation where the sale of company has gone down. The take over from the Jack did not materialise and all the efforts taken by him to obtain success went futile. Now if functioning of the firm is considered, it is found that company has adopted ego centrism approach as well as ethnocentric approach. The business is facing crises of good leadership. The training and development objectives are overlooked. Delegation of power is not in place and autonomous team are not allowed. Authoritative leadership practice is going on. Old traditions for doing the business are prevalent. The inexperience of Jack in toys business and the same tenacity that A.C. had is missing. Technical knowhow are clearly needs to be improved. Also since it is a family owned business jack was not accepted well by the previous employees. The changing cultural values of people are ignored. The changes initiated by Jack were not liked by the customers and they blamed company for producing poor quality and over priced products. There were often rapid changes took place at top management vision and mission and all that led to more confusing positioning of company in market. Independent manufacturer representatives are selling the products of company and these sales representatives do not offer personal service and relationship building with a customer that is destroying image of company and sales are on declining side. As the staff cutbacks and internal conflict, new lines of products are not delivered to the market and company is unable to take exploit opportunities in current trends prevailing in market.
Strategic goals
Improvement of productivity of organization is by 8 percent. Offering of products must be customized according to the customer’s preferences. Making organization a customer centric organization and streamlining the processes of organization for better coordination and results are the goals of
