Generally there are two types of research which are the qualitative research and the quantitative research.
Qualitative approach also known as phenomenology is grounded in the interpretive social science, is inductive in nature and is based on textual representations of the phenomenon under study. For Mills (2003), data collection methods under this approach might include face to face interviews, making observations and recording interactions. The findings have greater validity but lower reliability and objectivity.
Quantitative approach refers to the method wherein data collected can be measured, analysed and presented in such a manner that it reflects a cause-effect relationship. Since the research can be replicated, it has the merit of higher reliability.
The mixed method approach, is when using both the qualitative and quantitative methods. The reason behind adopting a mixed approach is to capture the strong points of both approaches referred to earlier and this method was used for this study.

There certainly exists some bias in the form of sampling, the more so that sampling error cannot be measured. The scope was only limited to citizens willing to fill out the survey questionnaire from global business, accountants, barristers, notaries and general working population. The response for the betting sector has been gathered from the Gambling Regulatory Authority as betting houses were not willing to participate. The scope was limited due to factors like time and costs. Some sectors have not been covered due to unavailability or apprehension such as jewellery sector and real estate
