Discuss qualitative and quantitative approaches to research and how Sam can apply the evidence that is generated from one of these approach based clinical practice.
Through my research, qualitative and quantitative in this essay I found qualitative research focus in depth interviews, content analysis, ethnography, evaluation and semiotics are among the many approaches that are used, but qualitative research its most basic form involves the analysis of any unstructured data, including open ended survey responses, literature reviews, audio recordings, pictures and web pages.
Quantitative research refers to the systematic empirical investigation of social phenomena via statistical, mathematical or computational techniques. The objective of quantitative research is to develop and employ mathematical models, theories and hypotheses pertaining to phenomena. The process of measurement is central to quantitative research because it provides the fundamental connection between empirical observation and mathematical expression of quantitative relationships.
Through my research of qualitative and quantitative approaches on how Sam can apply the evidence that is generated from qualitative and quantitative, I found much useful information. This information will be presented in this essay to invoke Sam how to link qualitative and quantitative approach encountered in health professional and the observation in clinical practices.
