3.7 There are many causes of conflict within a team, for example there may be a conflict of resources, where one person wanted some help or to use a certain piece of equipment, but it is in use. Conflicting style of working: Some people are organised, others prefer to work under pressure, and if these two types of people are put together, then conflict can happen, as one set of people doesn’t agree with how the other set of people are working. Conflicting Perceptions: All employees want to be kept in the loop and when they feel as though they haven’t been told some information then this can cause conflict. Conflict of attitudes: Sometimes a person’s manner and attitude can cause conflict, as if two people do not have the same attitude or personality …show more content…
4.5 It is very important to have a disciplinary and grievance procedure in place, as if there are any problems and a grievance needs to be raised, then a procedure needs to be followed. Similarly if there is a problem with the member of staff, then a formal procedure needs to be followed to make sure that the problem is resolved and that both sides have their say and their argument can be put across.
5.1 When employees are developed they feel as though they are being invested in, and this can boost morale, making them feel motivated and also making them feel as though they are gaining something from their workplace. In return, if an employee is developed, this means that they will improve on their skills and build on their knowledge which they can then use in the workplace and this knowledge can be passed onto
