5 Victim Activity Report

During the 5 victim activity me and my partner had the basic questions down packed. We knew to ask what were the events leading up to the scene, and if the victim has any medical history. Then we physically examine the victim to determine any physical symptoms, such as breathing abnormally or dilated pupils. We then proceeded to ask if there were any injury’s on certain parts of the body, mainly with the face/head or spine/chest. With this we could figure out any little injury, like a scrape on the arm. Some things we missed were some leading symptoms proceeding an injury. When someone had a head ace we forgot to check for coordination. We did not see if they could move their body or walk. Asking what lead up to the scene helped us out to determine
what type of injury it may be. Another question that helped was if they had a head ace or felt dizzy. I believe all questions helped because it gave us a yes or no outcome that lead us in the right path to determine the injury. As we went through the interviews we did feel more confident. As we went along we knew what important questions to ask right away. The injury we knew the least about was the tooth injury. What surprised we was that we could put the tooth back into the socket. If I was a victim I think a cyclist would be hard to recognize. After hitting your head, you are confused and do not know what is going on. With everything being suppressed you would not know if you have any internal damage.
