50 Percentile: Improving Nursing Quality

The 50 percentile indicates a need for improvement in the quality of nursing service delivered according to the CEC. The CEC has indicated areas to focus toward improving. 1) Focus on the Nurse leader rounding during a shift to assess nurses’ and patients’ concerns. 2) Ensure that the staff performs rounding of patients ever one to two hours. Further improvement of nursing quality involves the communication between nurses, which involves courtesy and respect behavior toward one another. The nurses need to listen and explain content that is understandable to others. Although these improvements are indicated for improving the percentile score, these improvements relate to improving the patient’s satisfactory scores.
