3.1.2. Translation techniques adapted to recruitment

As we already saw in the previous parts, finding the right keywords for recruiting is vital, especially for Boolean searches. Translators use technical glossaries when they work on a specific domain. It could be very useful applied to recruitment, first to understand some specific technical words and then to use synonyms in Boolean searches, in order to increase the chances to find more candidates.
I spoke about this aspect with my manager Eddy Guinet, who told me that it could be very interesting for sectors with complicated technical vocabulary like life sciences or engineering. Then, he realized than one of our employees with a translation background was really good at Boolean searches, which might be due to his previous skills in this field.
