Recruitment And Competency Mapping Case Study
Recruitment and competency mapping are both relevant and important roles in the organisation today, responsible for supplying the firm with a constant stream of competent and relevant human capital to help the firm reach commercial success. From the study conducted and the data gathered, the following findings were discovered about the sources of recruitment and the effectiveness of the competency mapping system being used by AON.
• From the age analysis table, it was determined that most of the respondents in the survey are young professionals who are enthusiastic about their work and thus complete their work faster.
• From the gender analysis table, it was determined, that most of the respondents were male employees.

5.2 Suggestions:
On basis of the research conducted and the summary of findings obtained, the following are the list of suggestions and recommendations that were developed for AON to implement.
• The gender ratio is skewed; AON should work towards a more balanced employee set up with equal no. of men and women employees.
• Aon should also perform competency mapping more frequently.
• Greater emphasis on E recruitment process and awareness should be undertaken at AON
• Response times should be improved as there was a belief that AON was not responsive enough.
• The policy knowledge level needs to be re considered and greater awareness should be brought about in this field.
• Competency matching should be given greater consideration. This seems to be an area of ambiguity amongst the

The success of such an organization is in the efficiency of its human resources department and the way it manages its workforce. Thus the competency of the human capital should be measured and identified in order to effectively develop the organization and enable its employee base to develop the talent and skills in high action areas.

The overall study regarding the recruitment process and competency mapping performance was successfully completed, the techniques used to develop competencies and to use these to recruit for the organization helped to understand and learn the actual competencies and the recruitment process that are used to recruit the best talent in the market.
From the survey, it is very clear that both recruitment and competency mapping play a pivotal role in developing individual core competencies through the recruitment methods and programs adopted.
