“A child without education is like a bird without wings.” This was written in a Tibetan proverb by an unknown author. Children in Pakistan do not have an education which leads to an unsuccessful life. Similarly, a bird with no wings will not have a successful life as well. In Pakistan, children do not get an education or do not have a proper one due to terrorism, gender inequality, and an unsafe learning environment. With a population of about two hundred million people, fifty four percent of them are poor. Daily, food prices rise, causing families in poverty to spend more money, and not having enough money for a proper education. Public schools do not provide quality education, but private schools are expensive and only a very little percent of the people of Pakistan can afford it. Public schools is still an education and is better than none, but school supplies still cost money and is less safe from terrorism (Anwar 1). however, without an education, one’s life would not be successful. In the constitution of Pakistan, Article 25A guarantees the right to a free education to every citizen from the age of five to sixteen. The majority of children that do not have access to education are in rural areas and the government should promote education in areas like this. Furthermore, economic motivations to the students may encourage the parents to send their children to school and reduce the dropout ratio (Hussain 1).
