In the club/party when he looks lost and feels like he is unwanted and not accepted at the event because he is not dancing with girls. The main Man in the hospital bed, with his husband at his side shows us that they stuck together until the end despite the public's view on their relationship. The scenes of the two men at the hospital between 5 minutes and 5 minutes and 23 seconds shows us that even though gay rights was not accepted in society, the two boys did not give up on their love for eachother and did not let what society thought of their love ruin them. The scene shows us that the main character in the video is extremely lost and down about his feelings at the beginning of the video, however he knew what he wanted and gradually began care less about what others thought because he was happy with where he was at in his life. it shows us that both the men were extremely strong for themselves and each other even through the hard times and it allowed us to see that everyone has the right to love who they want to love no matter how others feel about it. Everyone is equal and deserves to be happy and treated the same, whether they want a gay marriage or a straight marriage and no matter how other people feel about your relationship, if you are both happy you should stick to it and not let other people put you, or your partner down for your decisions. Personally, i feel that the meaning of these lyrics is that although everyone have rites now, we do not have freedom until gay marriage is accepted and legalized in society. These lyrics show how much society looks down and writes rude and unneccesary comments about gay relationships and marriage unintentionally at times, and that it is now a habit for society to bring down gay rights through speech unintentionally in our everyday conversations. People not thinking that “man thats gay” is going to have an impact on homosexuals and how they feel about themselves. These lyrics show people who are not homosexual, that they do not think about how their speech effects others and/or do not care about how homosexuals feel when ‘gay’ is used as a figure of speech. This scene relates to the rest of the music video because it shows that gay rights are not looked at seriously and not only do poeple actions show how they feel about gay rights, but it also shows through their speech. These lyrics were in some way inspiring and in other very eye opening because it really made me think about how much the word 'gay' is used in peoples day to day speech while criticizing someone/something. It made me personally think twice about what i say and in what context i use the word 'gay' during my
