A Rupee Earned Poem Analysis
When I read the story A Rupee Earned by I.F Bulatkin I related to it most. The story is about a young lazy boy that sits on his ass all day doesn’t do anything to support the family. When his father got a notice that he will only alive for so many days he told his son that if he could earn one rupee all of his dad’s fortune will be his. I haven’t been in a situation like the lazy boy but my family always told me that if you work hard now in school when you get older all that hard work will payoff. This story has a great example about how hard earned money and money that is given to you have different “values” to you for example the father said that “someone else’s money you do not care about that is cheap”.
The relation I have with A Rupee
Earned is last summer my family told me that you should go get a job so that I could earn my own money. I didn’t want to go get a job at that time because it was the summer break and i just wanted to relax, become a lazy blob that I am but after reading this story I’m planing to get a job during school or the summer break. The story opened my eyes about how different you can view one thing from another.
In conclusion A Rupee Earned by I.F Bulatkin is a great story and has a great lesson to be learned that when another person gives you money you don’t appreciate it as much as if you earned it yourself.
