AP Course Reflection

During my junior year of high school, I was enrolled in two of the most rigorous AP courses that my school had to offer. AP Language and Composition and AP U.S History are extremely challenging courses by themselves. However not only did I have those courses to handle, I had my other school work, I was playing three sports, I was finishing up my Eagle Scout Project, and I had my obligation to the Delaware Youth Philanthropy Board. All of this amounted to a few long nights and high stress levels. Admittedly, at the beginning of the year I was ready to AP Language and Composition, and without the heavy encouragement of my teachers I probably would have. By the second marking period, both my organizational and time management skills had improved
to the point where I was doing well in both of my AP classes. In the end, I would finish AP language with an 84 average and AP U.S History with an 89 average. I would also pass both exams with a three on the AP language test and a four on the AP U.S History test. Over the course of the year, my educational skills improved immensely. I believe that having previously touched college material, I will be able to thrive in the educational environment at East Carolina University.
