Abhinav has many good qualities but his primary strength is his incredible ability to learn quickly. Our department, Air Pollution Control Equipment (APCE), started in January 2013 and he joined us in March 2013. Due to this, he missed the technical training provided by technology partner Envirotherm GmbH. However, he quickly went through all the manuals and understood all the technicalities of the product within a week. I was surprised by his understanding of technical terms of electrical components as he is from mechanical background. He also helped his colleagues to understand the product so that the team wouldn’t face any problems while executing the first project. …show more content…
I agree that being able to multi-task is an important attribute but only if one is able to prioritize tasks efficiently. Previous projects were indirect offers, which we got by clients through the ISGEC Boilers group. A representative of the client came unexpectedly to our office and expressed his desire to meet the project team. Abhinav was on leave that day due to some health issues. I immediately called him to ask whether he could come to office for 2 hours post-lunch to give a presentation on the project to the client. He instantly agreed and came to office with full preparation. The customer was very happy with the details and went ahead with the project. In addition, due to his excellent work on this project, we generated revenue of USD 1.1 million for the
