- 2011 AHCSA celebrated its 10th anniversary as an independent Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation.
- AHCSA achieved its accreditation to the Quality Improvement Council (QIC) ‘Health and Community Services Standards, 6th Edition’ on the 6th February 2014.
Vision and Objectives
The vision of AHCSA is that all Aboriginal people enjoy a high quality of their health and wellbeing.
AHCSA’s mission is that the Aboriginal Health Council works in a way which increases the capacity of the Aboriginal community in forming their health and wellbeing. This ensures them a Community participation and Community ownership. It ensures The Aboriginal Health Council values such as:

Comments and Reflection
This report provided is the framework of the health services supported by the Aboriginal Health Council of South Australia. AHCSA is an organisation, which provides better opportunities to Aboriginal people to have good quality of life, including better health access, employment and education. In order, AHCSA continues to equalize the health services and wellbeing class between Aboriginal and non aboriginal people. The commitment of AHCSA is to understand, respond and to support aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health needs and their goals. In addition, they promote self staying power of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. Therefore, AHCSA is an organisation which can improve life of many Australian aboriginal people through their commitment and
