A big policy issue in America is abortion on whether it should remain legal or become illegal. Abortion is the termination of a human pregnancy, which means to remove the embryo. Interest groups have an influence on the government’s decisions on policy issues. There are many interest groups who fight for and against abortion in America. Some interest groups promote giving women the legal choice of getting an abortion. Other interest groups fight to make abortion illegal.
Abortion is a very controversial policy issue. Stopping the development of an unborn human being is difficult to determine whether it is right or wrong because every woman has different reasons to get abortion. The problem of this issue is that denying women the right to abortion means taking away the control women should have over their bodies. What have been done to address this problem are court cases, rallies/protests, and ad campaigns throughout America by many different interest groups and clinics.
