Abortion: A Woman's Right To Choose
Many women around the world are deciding to get abortions because they don’t want their child, or can't afford it. The main issue of abortion is whether you're pro-life or pro-choice. Abortion should be legal. Some women can’t afford the baby, don’t want the baby, or it could be a product of rape. Being pro-life just limits a women from truly choosing for themselves the outcome of their involving a child. Abortion should be completely pro choice. One example is that 14,000 women have abortions each year following rape. The woman should have a choice to not have a baby with a rapist. This fact is very true, because this happens with teenage pregnancies all the time. Another reason for parents to abort their baby is because of population control. According to the United Nations, “It is estimated that the world's population will increase to 9.3 billion by 2050, which would be "the equivalent of adding another India and China to the world” (U.N). This is a very good point, and if you are nervous about future space for housing than you should be. Being able to choose to abort a child that you don’t want means more space for everyone else in the future. Overall abortion needs to be pro choice because of things like rape, unwanted births, and population control. There are different views about abortion from political parties. On the liberal side of things, they believe that a woman has the right to decide what happens with her body. According to studentnewsdaily.com, “Liberals believe that women have the right to safe, affordable, and legal abortions” (Conservative vs. Liberal Beliefs). This is very true. Women should be respected, and allowed to do what they want. Getting an abortion needs to be affordable, because some reasons for getting an abortion in the first place are because of financial troubles. Another thing that’s limiting women's choice to get abortions is having to have parental involvement. That means that a lot of teenagers that were choosing to get an abortion were too nervous to actually tell their parents in order to get one. According to pro choice america.org, “Parental-involvement laws do not eliminate these risks. Instead, they jeopardize some young women’s ability to safely obtain health care” (NARAL). Another scary part of the abortion process is the violence that comes from protesters. People will not want to go through with an abortion if they know all their going to get for it is negativity. According to pro choice america.org, “Anti-choice zealots murdered 11 people—including doctors, clinic employees, a clinic escort, a security guard and a police officer—between 1993 and 2016” (NARAL). That statistical number needs to be at zero. Woman shouldn’t be afraid to make a decision for themselves that's why pro-choice is essential.
What reasons are there to choose the pro-life path of Abortion?

Technically this is wrong because most people get abortion within the first 12 weeks of their pregnancy. During this time the baby is pretty much a part of you. If you died during this time, so would the baby. Getting an abortion wouldn’t be killing a new person. In the case of rape you may be thinking, “Isn’t their medical equipment that can stop the victims of rape from being impregnated?”. Well according to Linda Lowen, “forcing a woman made pregnant by this violent act would cause further psychological harm to the victim. Often a woman is too afraid to speak up or is unaware she is pregnant, thus the morning after pill is ineffective in these situations” (Lowen). Also in the future after birth every time she sees her kid she might think back to the moment where she was raped. That alone could be too much for the mother to

First of all most people that are young and getting abortions are in high school. That means most of them are close to the age of 18, and deserve to have respected decisions. Also according to the Hippocratic Oath, doctors had to swear never to do an abortion (Louis Lasagna). Doctors shouldn't have to follow the oath completely. Just like the Constitution they are both out of date. Do we follow every rule on the constitution now? The topic of abortion is something not to be taken lightly. You should care greatly, because whether a child is aborted or not it can greatly affect our future. One of the biggest points that people like to drive home for pro-life is that the babies feel the pain of an abortion. According to Dave Anderson, “Studies show that fetuses do not feel pain when abortions are performed. Neuroscientists argue that because a cortex is critical for feeling pain, and the cortex is not yet functional when most abortions are performed, the fetus does not feel any pain” (Anderson). People should be there to help and support them through the hard procedure.
