Which came first, the chicken or the egg? Such a question has puzzled
Americans for many, any years. I have heard all the arguments, but is there really a right or wrong answer to this question? In my opinion no. They are aborting them because they (the children) will never grow up to live normally. The mother is thinking logically in the child?s best interest. In some ways, I agree it does sound selfish.
There are many women out there that would give anything to love a child, no matter what the circumstances. Although adoption works for some women, it does not work for all. If a woman does not want to carry a child to term, then it should be the woman?s choice. The heated debate of abortion has been going on for years, maybe one day pro-lifers, and pro-choicers will be able to merge and find a common ground on the issue. That day is probably not in the near future, but
I know it will come. It will always be highly debatable because it is a moral issue, with so many things tied into it, and so many arguments to be made. Until that common ground on abortion is found I will continue to stand up for the pro-choice cause.
