Abraham Lincoln: An American Hero

Father Abraham, the “Masterpiece of God sent to save the union”. These are names given to one of America’s greatest heroes. Abraham Lincoln, the sixteenth president of the United States of America. He had many trials in his path, but he kept moving forward and helped change history, for the better. He may not have believed everything that he was fighting for, but he put all that aside and fought for what was right. He’s an American hero.
How is he a hero you ask? Well for starters, he helped abolish slavery. He knew that slavery was wrong, so on January 1, 1863 he made the Emancipation Proclamation.
