Abraham Lincoln's Childhood

Abraham Lincoln work hard from the beginning of his life to the end of his life. He was born on February 12, 1809, in Hartington County, Kentucky. He went through his childhood with purpose dedicating a lot of time to education and hard work. Later in his life and after he became the US president, he made a goal to free the slaves and win the Civil War. He loved his family very much and tried hard to support them. Abraham fought hard for what he believed in throughout his childhood, the Civil War, and along the way he supported his family, until his death in April of 1865. Abraham Lincoln had a rough childhood. The cabin he was born in was six feet wide and eighteen feet long. It had no windows and a dirt floor. His parents were born in Virginia also.
Abraham married Mary Todd on November 4, 1842. They had for children, all boys. Lincoln’s children were welcome in the White House offices. They would come into his office and knock everything over. They would even stomp on things! Although they did all this, Lincoln never yelled or beat his children. Then in February of 1862, Lincoln's son, Willie Wallace, died of Typhoid fever. `Two years after this, on Good Friday, April 14, 1865 Abraham Lincoln was assassinated. This happened at Ford's Theater in Washington DC. John Wilkes Booth killed him thinking that he was helping the South. Lincoln died a brave man who made a big difference for many people. Abraham fought hard for what he believed in through his childhood, the Civil War, and along the way he supported his family, until his death in April of 1865. Abraham Lincoln worked hard through his childhood to become a great man. He succeeded and made a big difference when he was president, especially during the Civil War.
