Abraham Lincoln was the 16th president of the United States who lead us to victory in the civil war. Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809 in Hardin County, Kentucky and died on April 15, 1865 in Washington, D.C. Abraham’s parents were Nancy Lincoln (who died in the autumn of 1818) and Thomas Lincoln. He had 2 siblings Sarah Lincoln Grigsby and Thomas Lincoln, Jr. (who soon died because of a sickness). He lived in Brooklyn and went to school for 1 year. Abraham’s first job was to ferry passengers to steamboats on the Ohio River. After work Abraham would study about law. Later Lincoln was elected and served in the State House from 1834 to 1841. He soon became a successful lawyer and married Mary Todd. They had 4 children
