INTRODUCTION
Disease is a condition in which the normal functioninig of the body is disturbed. Many times such conditions may not be very serious and can be cured but some times these conditoins are serious and even fatal. There are many ways disease can be spread like:- * BACTERIA * VIRUS * PARASITIC WORMS * PROTOZOA * FUNGI This project will discuss about the disease spread by * BACTERIA * VIRUS * PARASITIC WORMS
Disease Spread By Bacteria
Disease spread by bacteria are * TUBERCULOSIS * CHOLERA * TETANUS * SYPHILLIS
TUBERCULOSIS : Tuberculosis (TB) is caused by bacteria (Mycobacterium tuberculosis) that most often affect the lungs. Tuberculosis is curable and preventable.TB is spread from person to person through the air. When people with lung TB cough, sneeze or spit, they propel the TB germs into the air. A person needs to inhale only a few of these germs to become infected.About one-third of the world's population has latent TB, which means people have been infected by TB bacteria but are not (yet) ill with disease and cannot transmit the disease.
Symptoms and diagnosis
Common symptoms of active lung TB are cough with sputum and blood at times, chest pains, weakness, weight loss, fever and night sweats.
CHOLERA : Cholera is an acute intestinal infection caused by ingestion of food or water contaminated with the bacterium Vibrio cholerae. It has a short incubation period, from less than one day to five days, and produces an enterotoxin that causes a copious, painless, watery diarrhoea that can quickly lead to severe dehydration and death if treatment is not promptly given. Vomiting also occurs in most patients.
Symptoms and diagnosis
Rapid heart rate.Loss of skin elasticity (the ability to return to original position quickly
