7. What is the appropriate target HR for Ms. Jacobs? Explain how you came to your answer. (2PT) It is highly recommended that MS. Jacobs exercise approximately 55% of her optimum heart rate in order to fully identify the recommended or targeted heart rate. In order to identify the target heart rate, age - 220. In this case, MS. Jacobs’ target heart rate is 220-58, which gives 162bpm. 55% of 162 bpm =89 bpm.
